8 miles away are the Elan Valley Reservoirs – an area of outstanding natural beauty with an interesting history, Gigrin Red Kite Feeding Centre at Rhayader is a wonderful day out for adults and children alike and ensures kites are frequent visitors overhead at Little Pudding Cottage and just 9 miles away is the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells, a lovely small town with restaurants, unusual shops, theatre/cinema, swimming pool and sports centre.

Also within easy reach and very highly recommended are Hay-on-Wye and its famous book festival and wonderful array of shops and with pony trekking, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, the Black Mountains and Breacon Beacons all accessible, Little Pudding Cottage offers a lovely refuge from the daily grind yet is accessible to a huge variety of interesting attractions and activities.

There are numerous walks detailed at the cottage, including walks around Elan Valley Reservoirs and Llanwrtyd Wells, as well as tourist information on cycling, fishing, gardens, activities and whats on in the local area.
